St Rhidian and St Illtyd’s Church Swansea wedding

What a busy and eventful wedding day it was: From the cozy cottage bridal preps in Mumbles to a gorgeous wedding ceremony at St Rhidian and St Illtyd’s Church, to windswept Cefn Bryn portraits, then onto a joyous reception at King Arthur hotel and an evening drive to Oxwich Bay, it was a day overflowing with love and laughter.

Kirsty and James got married at St Rhidian and St Illtyd’s Church.St. Rhidian, said to have established it in the 6th century, then St. Illtyd. Centuries later, in 1167, passed it into the hands of the Knights Hospitallers, who breathed life into the structure we see today, likely starting in the 13th century.

After the ceremony guests showered the newlyweds with confetti. Then, the guests headed to the venue, and we set off with the bride and groom, chasing beautiful and candid portraits amidst the breathtaking panoramas of Cefn Bryn. Cefn Bryn, a five-mile-long ridge of Old Red Sandstone, forms a prominent geological feature in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, Swansea, Wales. Locals know it as the “backbone of Gower” due to its distinctive character. And it’s an amazing choice for a wedding photography session.

King Arthur hotel wedding

The reception took place at King Arthur hotel, and here are few more weddings I captured at this lovely venue:
