King Arthur Hotel is located in the small village of Reynoldston, on the stunning Gower peninsula, South Wales. The King Arthur Hotel is a family-run wedding venue voted best wedding venue in Swansea (2018).

Leah and Craig postponed their big day a couple of times. They are one of quite a few of my couples who are finally getting married in 2022 after multiple postponements of their wedding days due to the covid pandemic.

And that’s why 2022 is an extremely busy year for all wedding photographers and other wedding suppliers: there’s a surge of new bookings, as couples do feel more confident now. And there are still many “2020 bookings’ that are taking place this year.

Leah And Craig’s wedding took place on 18th February 2022, and it was my first wedding of the year. And what a start of the wedding season it was! The Met Office has issued rare Red Weather Warnings for the 18th of February as Storm Eunice was expected to bring extremely strong winds. People were advised to avoid traveling on the 18th of February. Needless to say, I felt very anxious and worried about my journey down the Gower and back.

But the lovely couple booked Airbnb rooms very close to the hotel for me and the makeup artist. So we stayed overnight before the wedding day to avoid traveling during the red alert warning (7 Am-12 PM).

The wedding day was very relaxed, the couple was so excited, and love was there in the air. There are so many candid moments I captured during the day: the way they look at each other, smiles, and lots of kisses! Their wedding ceremony at King Arthur hotel was so lovely! The fairy lights backdrop just added more magic and warmth to the whole picture of the big day.

All the group and family photos were taken inside the venue, as we strictly followed the met office’s advice to stay indoors. After the wind calmed down a bit, we had a few opportunities for couples’ photoshoots outside. I took plenty of photographs of the bride and groom with the fairy lights on the backdrop, and they look so lovely! Please scroll down to take a look and admire the magic!
