Wedding photography Cardiff. 2021 Covid wedding in Wales

Bahar and Oktay’s small wedding ceremony took place in the middle of January 2021 at the Cardiff City Hall register office

They booked me around one month in advance, but because of coronavirus restrictions introduced by the Welsh Government, no one was sure if the ceremony was going to go ahead or not.

Luckily one day before the ceremony Bahar and Oktay were told that their marriage ceremony could take place but only two witnesses were allowed. And no professional photographer was allowed.

So I arrived at the Cardiff register office to capture the ceremony I was not allowed to capture. That’s the reality of a lockdown wedding…  By the way, if you are looking for a wedding photographer during these uncertain times, or are planning a small elopement, I have a special Ceremony only package available.

I captured the bride and groom’s arrival, then was waiting outside for 15-20 minutes whilst the couple has been having the legal ceremony, and after it, I took plenty of very candid photos – at Bute Park, Cardiff Castle grounds, Alexandra’s Gardens, and City hall. Luckily the weather permitted us to have a decent photoshoot outdoors – it was windy but quite warm.

The bride and groom were absolutely amazing and beautiful,  and here are the proofs:
