The Manor Hotel is located in the Brecon Beacons (Welsh National park). This traditional country manor house dates back to the early 1700’s.

Rachel and Simon finally got married in May 2022, after 2 years of postponements. They had to change their wedding date 6 times. The couple initially booked me as their wedding photographer, postponed a few times, and when I wasn’t able to accommodate one of their new dates, they booked another photographer. Then they postponed again, and finally when another photographer couldn’t accommodate one of their postponed wedding dates, the couple re-booked me again. Imagine what a stress it was to plan a wedding during the pandemic times! And it’s not only to announce the wedding photographer or find another one, there’s also venue, registrars, other suppliers, you have to contact each of your guests and notify them about the new date… I had couples who completely gave up, and cancelled things till better times…

Rachel had her hair and makeup done at home, and I only met her at the venue, where she put the dress on whilst Simon was greeting the guests. Beforehand I managed to capture all the lovely wedding details and room decor.
The wedding ceremony at the Manor hotel in Crickhowell was so lovely! The room was decorated so beautifully – the bride and groom had so many disco balls there, I absolutely loved it (of course I did, as I am a person who has a disco ball hanging in my living room).
After the ceremony it was time to enjoy the sunny hot weather, scenic views over the Usk valley and hillsides beyond. And of course time for group and family photos. The weather was so lovely, so it felt like it wasn’t Britain 😉 There were 2 speeches later: groom and best man had some nice and funny stories to tell.
The first dance was amazing, and the lights the DJ turned for the first dance and party were simply stunning!
