Rhondda heritage park hotel wedding photography – Rhys and Eleri
This beautiful wedding was literally a last-minute booking for me (South Wales wedding photographer). I had some other plans for that Saturday, and had to get ready for the following Sunday wedding, reply to customers’ emails, send some wedding photography contracts over, do some shopping… and I’ve seen a post on a Facebook Group (for emergency wedding photography coverage) – a lady photographer was looking for a second shooter to assist her at Rhondda heritage park hotel wedding. And I thought – why not. It’s only a half an hour drive from where I am based.
Unfortunately, the couple’s main wedding photographer was stuck on the motorways, and it took her 6 hours to reach the wedding venue. So as a South Wales wedding photographer I stepped in, covered bridal preparations, wedding guests’ arrival, then the wedding ceremony, candids, and first bits of the wedding reception at Rhondda heritage park hotel.
Rhondda heritage park hotel wedding ceremony
The ceremony was lovely, emotional, and intimate. It was conducted by registrars from Pontiprydd who were fantastic. Eleri and Rhys’s little son was responsible for delivering the rings, and he liked this role so much that he decided to help his parents to sign the register as well.
After a short service, it was time for some reception drinks outside and then confetti and group photos at Rhondda Heritage park museum.
Wedding at Rhondda Heritage Park | The Welsh Mining Experience
The Welsh mining museum is located five minutes walking distance from the Rhondda Heritage park hotel, and that was where we headed for some group shots and couple’s photos.
A Welsh Coal Mining Experience museum at Rhondda Heritage Park is based on the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery site in the heart of the Rhondda Valleys and is a fascinating place to visit. There are nice industrial fascinating backgrounds for alternative wedding photography and couple’s shots.
