Pittville Pump Room | Wedding photographer Cheltenham

What a gorgeous venue to photograph a wedding at! The Pump Room was built by the architect John Forbes between 1825 and 1830. It is a Grade I listed building accommodating up to 240 guests for a seated dinner or 300 for a standing reception, and it is a perfect venue for private and corporate events, weddings, etc.

If you are interested in getting married at this wonderful wedding venue in Cheltenham and you wanted to get in contact with the wedding events team you can contact them on 01242 528764 or email at customer.contact@cheltenhamtrust.org.uk to discuss your requirements.

Wedding photography at Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham

Afua & Jeremy initially planned to get married in May 2021, but because of the Covid-related restrictions they postponed their wedding day to the middle of July 2021, and were finally joined by around 50 of their friends and family members at the Pittville Pump Room to celebrate their big day! And it was such a beautiful day to be a part of.

Bridal preparations at the George Hotel, Cheltenham

We started that hot summer day with Afua and her bridesmaid and flower girls before catching up with Jeremy and his best men in the morning.  Afua was getting ready at the gorgeous George Hotel at Cheltenham city center, and the groom was getting ready at home – literally in 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. So we had a nice quick walk through Cheltenham center toward Jeremy’s house to photograph his and his best man’s morning emotions.

Capturing both bridal and groom morning preparations is a very good idea, I wouldn’t recommend skipping the groom’s preps in favor of bridal ones. If the bride and groom are getting ready in different locations, then it makes sense to hire a second photographer (as Wedding photographer Cheltenham I offer this option as an add-on to my main wedding photography packages).

After Afua and Jeremy tied the knot at the Pittville Pump Room it was time for group shots and then the drinks reception. Everyone was having a great time and enjoyed the heatwave – it was such a beautiful and warm summer day. I need to mention that it was so hot, so I was happy when lorries were overtaking us on motorways and creating some shade for us 😉

After the drinks reception, we went inside for some bride and groom photos. The interiors of Pittville Pump Room’s top floor look fantastic and provide a gorgeous background for the wedding photographs. Then the wedding breakfast followed, with lots of speeches, laughter, and a variety of amazing food and dishes for the guests to choose from.
