The absolutely gorgeous and cozy Moonraker hotel is located on the outskirts of Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge. This stunning grade II listed Manor House is a great place for a unique and relaxed wedding day.
The Moonraker hotel wedding
After postponing their Big day (like many other couples) Ashleigh and Tom finally said their I do’s at the Moonraker Hotel in the Bath area in October 2021.
Honestly speaking Ashleigh was one of the most relaxed brides I ever met since I started photographing weddings in 2009. Same were the bridal preps, the ceremony, the reception, basically, everything was very relaxed and laid-back. No rush, no stress. I enjoyed being there as a wedding photographer. And hopefully, I captured the mood of the wedding day in a perfect way, as this is the review I received from the bride and groom:
“Anna was recently the photographer for our wedding. I and my partner are not the “photo types” however Anna was absolutely amazing! She managed to capture every single aspect of the day, from getting ready in the morning until the first dance and all the bits in between. She captured so many special moments which we can look back on in years to come, a lot of the photos we hadn’t even realized she had taken, they are supernatural which is what we wanted. There were so so many photos she managed to take, I didn’t expect them to all be amazing but there is honestly not one phone I dislike. The photos arrived super quick after the wedding and amazing quality, to top it off Anna is such a lovely person, she was never “in your face” like a lot of photographers can be and she is just a genuinely lovely person who always made us feel super comfortable and she was very calming. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anna to everyone I know. Honestly thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Ashleigh & Thomas”
The weather during the wedding was very October-ish: it was chilly with some sunshine, rain, heavy rain, heavy clouds, and a Rainbow! It appeared in the sky just after the wedding ceremony, when the bride and groom went outside for some reception drinks. What a beautiful sign!
The ceremony itself was so nice, the registrars were so friendly and lovely! By the way, it was quite an emotional ceremony as well – Tom had those tears of happiness, and Ashleigh was so emotional, laughing and smiling so much. What a happy couple they are!
Wedding photography at the Moonraker Hotel, Bath
After the ceremony, we had taken some group and family shots at the Moonraker hotel grounds. I need to say that the hotel provides quite nice surroundings for some couples’ romantic photographs. There is a historical manor, barn, fields, wooden fences. Also in the darkness (in the evening), there are very nice festive lights in the hotel’s yard. So I decided to take some couple’s photographs after the first dance as well.
The reception took place at a marquee, and I think everyone enjoyed it. It was very nicely decorated, the food was amazing, and the wedding speeches were unforgettable!
