The Mansion House Newport wedding ceremony
I had the pleasure of capturing Jess and Adam’s beautiful wedding day on March 1st.
It was an exceptionally warm and sunny day, making their ceremony at the lovely Newport registry office even more special.
A lot of couples are nervous about booking weddings in early March or late February, because of the weather (there’s a high chance of rain, storm, hail). But if you get lucky, you can end up with the most amazing sunshine.
Following the ceremony at The Mansion House , the reception took place at the lovely Old Barn Inn, located in Langstone, Newport.

Jess and Adam really wanted me to focus on capturing genuine moments, so they asked for mainly unposed photos and a very few staged family and friends photos, which are essential for family albums. These were taken at the Newport registry office immediately following the ceremony.
Before the wedding breakfast began, I captured some couple’s portraits at the Old Barn Inn. I need to say the speeches that followed were truly lovely!

I’ve also photographed several weddings following this popular format (a ceremony at Newport Registry Office, followed by a reception at the Old Barn Inn):
