Great Tythe Barn wedding ceremony
What a beautiful and sunny February day it was!
Helena and Robert’s February 2025 wedding, originally planned at the Kings Head Hotel (which went into administration), was ultimately held at Great Tythe Barn. The last-minute venue change must have been incredibly stressful. But…
It was a truly perfect wedding day. Utterly perfect! And the weather… a surprisingly sunny, bright blue February sky in England!!!
Bride and bridesmaids were getting ready at the Ingleside House in Cirencester before heading to the Great Tythe Barn for the ceremony. Built in the 17th century, Great Tythe Barn originally housed agricultural tithes and later winter hay. In 1993, it was converted into one of the first Cotswold stone barn wedding and conference venues.
Bingham Hall wedding reception
Helena and Robert’s wedding reception took place in a remarkably historic venue – Bingham Hall in Cirencester.
Bingham Hall, a historic Cirencester landmark, was established in 1908 by Daniel George Bingham. This town benefactor, having retired from a career in Dutch-Rhenish railways, funded the hall’s construction, which now serves as a vibrant center for private and public events.
Helena and Robert hosted a wonderful reception, featuring four beautifully delivered speeches, an exquisite meal, and a stunning cheese display. By the way, the wedding cakes were baked by the groom and one of the bridesmaids!
A special mention must go to Daisy, the wedding coordinator. She was there from bridal preparations until the late evening. Her kindness and support were so genuine, it was easy to forget she wasn’t the newlywed’s longtime friend.
