The Frogmill wedding photography

The Frogmill is a 16th century building (inn) and it’s an absolutely lovely wedding venue. It is located in the picturesque area of Cheltenham (in Cotswolds).  It was my first time photographing at this lovely place and I am really looking forward to returning there to capture more weddings.

So if you are looking for a wedding photographer who worked at The Frogmill Cheltenham before, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The Frogmill Cheltenham wedding

Jennie and Thomas booked our Combined photography and videography package, which includes 8-10 hours of coverage. So we started capturing the precious memories in the morning (bridal preps, groom preps), and then headed to the beautiful chamber in the very heart of The Frogmill where the ceremony took place. It was conducted by a celebrant, and it was all about the bride and groom’s love story.  Everyone had a chance to listen to this beautiful story – to find out how they met, how he proposed, what they both love about each other.

This is why I absolutely love the wedding ceremonies conducted by celebrants. Well, the main reason I like celebrants is that they don’t create unnecessary restrictions and just let photographers do their job. You are allowed to choose the best possible angles. It doesn’t mean I am constantly walking around the couple when the wedding is led by celebrants, I just feel relaxed enough to make a few steps forward-back if the view becomes blocked etc.

Wedding at The Frogmill

After the ceremony it was time for confetti, group photos, and I need to admit that it was an extremely hot day. Even for me. So I captured all the official wedding group shots, and we decided to postpone the bride and groom’s photoset to the late evening. Though I am experienced enough to work under any light conditions – sun, clouds, fog, midday sun, etc. But… If the wedding takes place on a sunny summer day, the evening light (and temperature :)) in most cases would be nicer than a midday one.

The wedding breakfast was amazing, the speeches and reactions to them were so emotional! The evening celebrations were absolutely amazing as well. It was the first time when I photographed (and actually witnessed) a ceilidh.

A ceilidh is a Scottish social event which involves traditional folk music and dancingI need to say that I admired the guests (who were a bit drunk by this time of the day) and still managed to learn the movements of Scottish dances.  I wasn’t drunk (I never drink on work), and I couldn’t remember them – maybe I was tired enough, or maybe you have to practise the movement and your body remembers it? Well, anyway, I admired the quests, and took lovely photos of the ceilidh.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are getting married at The Frogmill Cheltenham or at any other venue in Cheltenham.
