St Mary’s Church Swansea wedding ceremony
St Mary’s Church is an Anglican church in the center of Swansea. There has always been a church on this site since circa 1328. It was rebuilt a few times, destroyed, bombed, re-designed, and the holy place is still there.
The gorgeous and spacious church is the place where Mark and Shilpa got married in December 2021.
It was quite a last-minute booking. The poor couple had to postpone their wedding day for 4 times. Simply because there were always so many travel restrictions, and India was on the red travel list for so long, Shilpa’s parents couldn’t come here to witness the marriage. The ceremony was so lovely, and by the way, it was the first wedding the young priest conducted himself. During the marriage ceremony, 3 readings had taken place: from both dads and groom. And then some hymns were performed as well.
St Mary’s Church itself is so gorgeous and beautiful, and when the sun is shining through the windows, it looks magical! As you probably know, the sun in December is located quite low in the sky. So you can see in some of the wedding photos the sunlight entering the church through the large windows. And it is simply amazing!
Wedding Photography Swansea marina
After the ceremony, we headed to Swansea registry offices, located within a short walking distance from the Swansea bay beach. It’s where the bride and groom had some of their photos taken.
