Priston mill wedding photography
Kelsey and George had their unforgettable outdoors wedding ceremony at Priston Mill in sunny April 2025. Their wedding reception was held at Priston’s Watermill.
Priston’s Watermill, dating back to at least 931 when King Athelstan granted the site (and a previous mill) to Bath Abbey, is historically significant. The current mill, built on Saxon foundations, was noted in a 1720 sale as a rebuilt grist mill with three millstones and a tucking stock. Remarkably, its larger 1805 iron machinery, which replaced earlier wooden components, is still operational and on display.

Kelsey and George ceremony was led by celebrant Aliya Dhalla, independent, inclusive celebrant. And the ceremony was so lovely and so personalized, with gorgeous vows and sweets provided for guests, with the beautiful Jewish tradition of breaking a glass and sharing wine. Adding a unique touch, the couple had a secret ring bearer chosen through a special lottery among the guests.
There was another lovely treat for guests – the couple and their families grew assorted succulents for each guest’s place setting.
The weather was also surprisingly amazing for early April in England – a warm and such a sunny day. What to say, it was just the best day!
