Church of Saint Mary of the Angels Cardiff christening

Nestled in the Pontcanna area of Cardiff stands the beautiful St. Mary’s Catholic Church. This Romanesque-style gem was the work of the well-known architect F.A. Walters, with its foundation stone laid on January 20th, 1907, by Bishop Hedley, and its opening following on November 3rd.

I previously photographed a christening ceremony here in the summer of 2021, a time when COVID restrictions were just beginning to ease. Now, in 2025, it’s lovely to be back at this beautiful church for Thea’s christening.
