The Parish Church of Saint Denys Lisvane wedding ceremony

Kat and Callum got married at The Church of St Denys, an Anglican church in the suburb of Lisvane, Cardiff. The estimated date of founding the church is around the 6th century, though the present building dates from the nineteenth century.

It was a lovely summer day and a lovely marriage ceremony, with so many friends and family members present. I absolutely loved it!  Kat and Callum requested as few posed photographs as possible, so I tried to capture the day as it unfolded – starting with the bridal preps in Cardiff and till the evening reception at Pencoed house Estate.

Pencoed house Wedding

Wedding reception took place at Pencoed House Estate. It is an absolutely beautiful place – a barn styled wedding venue, with beautiful orangery and gardens. By the way Pencoed House Estate is one of the oldest properties in the County of Glamorgan. The reception was very relaxed, I was capturing mostly candids, alongside a few group shots and couple’s photos. As it was really hot summer day, I took couple’s photos after the wedding breakfast, during so-called golden hour, when heat is more “resistable” and the light is more more mild than the midday one.
