Wedding ceremony at St. Michael & All Angels Church, Lower Machen

Сarl and Seran are almost my neighbors – they live in a neighboring picturesque village in an equally picturesque house with a large garden. And themselves they grew a variety of beautiful flowers for the bride’s bouquet, the groom’s boutonniere, and other wedding decorations. Isn’t it lovely?

The ceremony (service) was held in the ancient church in Machen ( St. Michael & All Angels Church, Lower Machen), which is about 800 years old. It’s impressive – think only how many generations signed the registry there and became husband and wife. And sadly not so many people are visiting this church nowadays.

Wedding reception at Hollybush (Draethen) – South Wales

The wedding reception (as well as the groom’s family morning tea) took place in a local cozy pub called The Hollybush where it was so easy to keep a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I think it is a great venue for a small intimate wedding in the semi-rural village of Draethen.
