Over Barn wedding photography

What a gorgeous Over barn wedding it was! I was able to take so many beautiful photos of the smiles on the bride and groom’s faces, and it was a truly rewarding experience. I absolutely enjoyed working with the couple and their families at Over barn and at their wedding ceremony at St George’s Brockworth.

Ah, Over Barn! It was originally built for grain storage more than 170 years ago.  But in 2010, it was given a new lease of life when it was beautifully renovated – and now it’s the perfect place to host any special event!

Kadie and her bridesmaids (friends and sisters) were all getting ready at the Over barn before heading to St George’s Brockworth church. By the way, the bridesmaids were dressed in all the “autumn colours” dresses – from vibrant greens to fiery reds, with cheerful yellows and oranges in between – just like the changing leaves of autumn! Wasn’t it the amazing idea for an October wedding day at Over barn?

St George’s Brockworth church wedding ceremony

It’s amazing to think that St George’s Church was built by the first resident Norman, Roger de Chandos, all the way back in 1142. It’s even more incredible that it was one of the earliest churches in England to be dedicated to St George! The church was renovated in 1846.

I need to say that this wedding ceremony at St George Brockworth was so beautiful and emotional. The bride and groom were absolutely happy, I hope the photos I took tell this beautiful story in all the details.

Over Barn wedding

On our return to Over barn it was time to take some group and family photos, and to let the dog out! I think the Over barn was the perfect venue choice for Kadie and Andy’s wedding. It is definitely a dog friendly venue, the beautiful surroundings give a wonderful backdrop for the photos. I think Kadie and Andy made the right choice when they decided to let their fur baby celebrate their wedding day with them, it made their special day even more special.
