Coombe Lodge Blagdon wedding photography

Coombe Lodge in Blagdon was built in the late 19th century and was commissioned by the Will’s family, a leading family in Bristol who ran the W.D. and H.O. Will’s tobacco company. The house later became a further education staff college, before being transformed into the lovely wedding venue.

When I had a pre-wedding Zoom call with Bobbie and Max, the couple told me they were hoping to have some sunset photos. I need to say I was a bit sceptical about this plan and its realisation, as the wedding date was the 22nd November, which is a very dark time of the year. I did not share my scepticism with the couple, and imagine what!  The sky was blue on the day, and the sun shined for the couple to have these amazing November sunset photos at Coombe Lodge.

All day was the dream to capture – lovely preps, celebrant led ceremony, lovely guests, and the surroundings that were perfect for the romantic photos of the bride and groom.  I absolutely enjoyed the sparklers photos (the couple bought long sparklers, and they’re just perfect for wedding photos as they last much longer than shorter standart party ones).
