Clearwell Castle wedding photography

I love finding new venues, even after over 13+ years in the wedding photography business and over 300 weddings it’s still so exciting to shoot at the new venues! And also it’s so exciting to drive through unknown country lanes when you don’t know what is there after that blind bend. I am joking about country lanes:)

Clearwell Castle was built in 1727, the present house replaced earlier buildings dating back to the early 1600’s. The Castle had a “complicated” life: it was rented out to various tenants, sold and re-sold, gutted by a fire, bought by a businessman with the intention of demolishing it… During the 1970’s famous rock bands recorded albums in a studio in the basement (Deep Purple, Queen). AWWWW!!!! I can’t believe I was working in the same building where Freddie Mercury was recording his songs!

Nowadays Clearwell Castle is an exclusive and very popular wedding venue. I photographed here 3 times in 2022 (if you type Clearwell in search, you’ll be able to view all weddings I captured here).

Jaime and Ollie had an absolutely beautiful wedding day! The whole day was a dream to capture. The couple didn’t stop smiling, the guests were so lovely, and Clearwell castle provided the perfect backdrops both indoors and outdoors.

I need to say that the photos of the groom and best man before and at the beginning of the ceremony are the best ever set of groom+best man photos I ever captured. The emotional groom, the supportive best man, what a pair!
