Wedding photography at Grittleton house Chippenham

Grittleton House is a country house in the village of Grittleton, Wiltshire, England, northwest of the town of Chippenham. The history of the estate starts in 1660, you can read more about it here. Today Grittleton House is a family home, the Shipp family has lived on the estate for 50 years. The historic manor is a venue for events, particularly weddings.

When I was heading down to Grittleton house I noticed that most buildings in the surrounding villages were built of yellow limestone. And it reminded me of the Cotswolds area. When I checked the map later on I noticed that Grittleton house is actually located in the Cotswolds.

Now to the beautiful bride and groom and their big day… Tessa & John were joined by around 70 of their friends and family at Grittleton house. And it was such a lovely day to be a part of.

The beautiful bride and bridesmaids (Tessa’s daughter and her best friend), and Tessa’s friend got ready for the day in the impressive and elegant bridal suite before heading to Orangery for the ceremony. John was so impatient to get married to his beautiful fiance! He even didn’t wait till the registrar finished her question and declared I do. It was such a lovely moment!

After exchanging the rings, the first kiss, signing the register it was soon time for confetti shots, group photos, and newlyweds’ romantic photographs.

Grittleton House is an absolutely fantastic place! There are so many gorgeous wedding photographs could be taken there, the architecture is so impressive: huge windows, amazing staircases, gardens, flowers…

The wedding reception was amazing and relaxed. As an illustration of it, I have to mention that everyone was really having a great time. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and the groom’s speech. The cake cut was followed by the first dance and then it was time for everyone to get on the dance floor.
